Hello, I watched the series last year and became a big fan of Increase and Cotton. I didn`t like the ending of season 2. Not just because of Increase`s death also because the series became more and more tailored to the needs of the "sympathic" and "important" characters. Parents of Anne = death, Increase = death, Glorianna? Nothing new. I wished she would have stayed in the series and Cotton and her had to keep it secret for a while. Exspecially (was it in cat and mouse?) as Increase came more open to his son and they finally seemed to work together I hoped to see Cotton finally get the esteem of his fahter. And maybe become a strong witchhunter, not a whiney character.

Those series had so many possibilties but in the end it was just to show a lot of erotic between John and Mary and of course they had to be together in the end. I stopped watching in the end of season 2 and read about the ending of season 3.

Sorry if some expressions are wrong, but this is not my mother tongue.

(Haha and I somehow love the idea to see some "feelings" between Increase and Cotton. Loved the kissing scenes.)

Following on from discussions on another thread, it is intended to begin a Rewatch of the series, beginning with The Vow on 20 April, the fourth anniversary of its airing.

As part of the Rewatch, I thought that we could choose winners for episode-based awards, with the episode winners competing for the season title, and ultimately for the overall prize. The categories I had in mind are listed below, but the floor is open if anybody has any other ideas for categories. Depending on the numbers participating, winners can be decided by popular vote or by consensus.

Best Spell

Best Quote

Best Costume

Best Moment

Creepiest Moment

Episode MVP and/or MVW (if the MVP is a witch, the MVW is a different witch)

I also plan to pair the episode threads with What If threads if there is an episode-related What If available, or if the Rewatch thread gives rise to a What If.

I'd like to canvass opinions on whether the threads should be spoiler-free or not. On one hand, spoiler-free threads would restrict discussion about the impact of the episode on future developments but, on the other hand, if there are any new fans who want to participate, it may be better to have the threads spoiler-free.

What are people's views on the subject of a Rewatch?

The last episode gave me no closure... It was rushed and all over the place. If failed to answer the questions of the fate is Isaac; where did he go or end up? Was he killed, because he wasn't in the church with Dorca listeneing to Ann's speech. What about Dorca? Dorca refused to stand and applaud Ann in the church, so what dows that mean? What is her fate? What happened to Cott's former lover, Gloriana? Does she ever get revenge for the baby that was stolen from her womb? I was not al all satisfied with this RUSHED finale. The producers/directors could have at least put closre to those questions in one more episode. Watching John and Mary walk off into the sunset was frail.... AND unexplained since Mary was 'bound not to leave the woods'. ...... Disappointing ending to what was a great TV show.

Mary goes to Alden and explains that they need to fight the war from different directions. The Sentinel puts Mary’s loyalty to a test.
“Salem’s” third season dawns with the triumph of the witches’ plan to remake the New World by bringing the devil to earth and making Salem his capital. But the devil is a liar, and instead of a New World free from murderous Puritan hypocrisy, his own plan will bring nothing but death and slavery with the ultimate aim of leading humanity to destroy itself. And there’s only one person on earth who can beat the devil — the very witch that birthed him, his mother, Mary Sibley — the only problem is she’s dead. Or is she?
