Notes[]
- Rebecca Nurse is loosely based on Rebecca Towne Nurse, executed during the Salem Witch Trials. Although there was no evidence against her, she was convicted and hanged as a witch on July 19, 1692.
- Rebecca Nurse shares many similarities with Bridget Bishop, hanged for witchcraft in the first season. She is either one of the three unnamed hanged who John Alden found in his return to Salem in "The Vow", or replaced Bridget Bishop in the narrative as, from Giles Corey onward, all the victims were identified. Otherwise, yet another victim of the trials that continued pass the completion of the Grand Rite since, in the vision, she was hanged in town not at its borders.
