Nothing from nothing ever yet was born, but all from all may yet be torn. In each resides a secret power, that sleeping yet awaits its hour.
— Tituba's incantation[src]

The Sacred Power Egg is a mystical black egg obtained through a sacrifice that is able to confer magical powers to whomever employs it.

Description[]

A black egg extracted from the entrails of sacrificed animals. Specifically, the egg was contained in the stomach of a hare extracted from the stomach of a fox that devoured it. Although Tituba used this egg to break a spell cast by the Devil himself, it is not clear whether the egg is a means of interfering and hampering spells and magic, or if it is a catalyst that increases the powers of those who possess it. Breaking the egg to make the spell work implies that it can only be used once. A new power boost would require finding a new egg.

Throughout Salem[]

Finding herself cornered, Tituba resorted to her magical knowledge and employed cunning craft to devise a plan to hamper the Devil's. Inside Petrus' Hut, her new safe house, Tituba practiced a gruesome ritual; by sacrificing an animal, she extracted from its entrails other animals it had devoured till she reached the source – a shiny black egg. The cunning woman later used it to save Cotton Mather from being attacked by a murder of crows – a violence that she herself suffered only a few days before – after he escaped into the woods. The spell required Tituba to crush the egg in the palm of her hand. As she did it, the birds fell dead to the ground. [1]
